Donate by the end of the tax year and make your gift to us worth even more

Wednesday, 26 March 2008, UK wide

Every donation you make to Macmillan is worth almost one-third more at no extra cost to you, if you choose to Gift Aid it. When you Gift Aid your donations HM Revenue and Customs currently adds an extra 28p to every £1 you give to Macmillan. So for every £10 donated, we actually receive £12.80 – and it doesn't cost you, the donor, a penny.

There are two easy ways to donate now.

  • Set up a regular donation. You can use our secure online form to set up a regular direct debit to Macmillan. Just £3 a month (or whatever you can afford) will help so many people get the support they need. Please be sure to Gift Aid it when you fill in the form.
  • Make a one-time online donation. Use our secure donation form to make a single donation to us. Please be sure to Gift Aid your donation when you fill in the form.

Am I eligible for Gift Aid?
Quite simply - if you are a UK tax payer who has paid tax at least equal to the Gift Aid, yes.

Even if you are unemployed, you are still eligible if you pay tax on a personal or occupational pension, stocks and shares, bank and building society savings accounts, rental income or other investment dividends.

Still not sure? Please see our Gift Aid frequently asked questions.

I've donated to Macmillan in the past but didn't choose to Gift Aid my donation.
You can fill out a Gift Aid declaration form [PDF, 32 KB] and send it in to us.
