Macmillan Education and training grants

The latest learning and development policy is available for download below.

The Macmillan learning and development grant policy and procedure has been reviewed, and the new version came into effect 1 February 2008.

Allocation of learning and development grants is one of the many ways we can support your development.

The purpose of learning and development grants is to support the acquisition of specialist skills (which will include non-cancer specific skills) and you should ask yourself whether the activity you are requesting funding for does that, before you complete your application form.
In 2008, Macmillan will continue to support grants which make a direct contribution to achieving the organisation's priorities for the benefit of people affected by cancer.

Guidance to help you clarify whether your proposed learning or development will address these priorities is included with the policy. Your application will be reviewed in your Macmillan region/nation by two members of the regional service development team (one of which will be a learning and development manager).

Please note, in 2008 the cut-off date for receipt of applications continues to be 15th of each month. Applications will be assessed by the end of each month and the decision conveyed to you via email by the 9th of the following month.

If you need help to complete the form please contact your Macmillan Learning and Development Manager - phone numbers can be found in the policy documents. Any other grant queries should be directed to the finance and grants administrator at UK office on 020 7840 4667.
