Hundreds walked to save thousands
Thank you to the 225 people from Berkshire who walked Watership Down on 4 May.
A walker relaxes after the Watership Down event
They joined another 200 people from the surrounding counties for a day of mud, free reflexology treatments, dog treats and cakes that has already raised over £10,000 (at the time of writing) and should hopefully make our target of £25,000.
We would also like to thank author Richard Adams for supporting the event again this year, starting off the walkers and meeting them again at the top of Watership Down.
The other people who made this event possible are the reflexologists who gave free tasters at the end of the walk, the members of the Ecchinswell Village Hall committee who served tea and cakes, Tadley Pet Supplies who donated dog bowls and bonios for the four legged walkers, and Waitrose and Somerfield who donated water and chocolates respectively.
If anyone still has sponsorship to pay in then please send it in to the office.
