Macmillan would like to thank the King Alfred Lodge of Weston super Mare for donating £1,700 to local services for people living with cancer.
Worshipful Brother Ron Ward, the immediate past Master of the Lodge, nominated Macmillan Cancer Support to receive proceeds of two charity nights (one at Christmas 2006 and one in July 2007) after receiving support from Macmillan nurses at Weston General himself.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr Ward and everyone from King Alfred Lodge for the support they have shown Macmillan. Macmillan needs to raise approx £300,000 each year to continue funding local services and we could not do this without the generosity of local people.
