World's Biggest Coffee Morning 2007

Cynthia Reynolds and friends at the Scout Hut in Brentry

Cynthia is a coffee morning veteran and as usual put on a great event which was opened by Charlotte Leslie, Parliamentary Candidate for Bristol North West. As well as tea, coffee and cakes, there were raffles, card sales and second hand stalls. The event raised over £600. Big thanks as always go to Cynthia and her loyal team of helpers.

Southmead Hospital

Head and neck nurse specialist Jacquie and her laryngectomy support group held a very successful coffee morning at the hospital. Lots of delicious homemade cakes were on sale and they certainly went down well with nurses and support group members alike. Jacquie's ingenious selling of coffee mugs ensured that a fantastic £315 was raised.

Bordeux Quay

Bordeaux Quay is a converted 1926 warehouse on Bristol's harbourside. Since opening in September 2006, it has achieved international acclaim as the UK's first eco restaurant, winning numerous awards for its outstanding contributions to food education, sustainable practice and excellent cooking.  This delightful waterfront brasserie held a raffle on the day, generously donating dinner for two as the top prize. This, along with donating 50p  from every coffee sold, came to a grand total of £292.45.

Barcode Youth Cafe – Weston Super Mare

This well attended event attracted the town Mayor and local radio station Star FM. The morning was great success. Barcode provides a safe, high quality venue for young people and there were plenty along to support this great fundraising event.
