The countdown was on to the opening round of the 2007 North West Formula Ford Championship season, and we can say that when the light went green it was not only be the start of the race, but the start of raising some serious money for charity in the process.

For this season Jamie Stanley Racing is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support to help raise cash and awareness for the charity kicking off at the Anglesey circuit in North Wales on May 26th and is now moving to Cheshire’s Oulton Park circuit in a months time.


Chester’s Jamie Stanley, 23, said: “Macmillan Cancer support is a really worthwhile charity and I am thrilled to be able to help them raise both awareness and money for there cause.”


The Swift SC94 racer will be designed with two chequered flags on each side of the car, with one hundred squares on offer. Companies or individuals can purchase a square for £50, which can feature simply their name, message or their company logo 20% of all the money raised this way will then be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.


Aimee Scally, Community Fundraiser for North West Cheshire & Wirral is delighted and extremely grateful to Jamie for all of his time and hard work and to raise money to help those affected by cancer: “This is such a great way in which to raise money for Macmillan!
