Wirral West MP Stephen Hesford
With Macmillan's flagship fundraising event The World's Biggest Coffee Morning 2007 only three weeks away, Local MP Stephen Hesford joined the fundraising team at Arrowe Park Hospital on Wednesday 5th September, as they set up shop for the day in a bid to promote and support the event happening on Friday 28th September 2007, and to inform local potential Coffee Morning hosts of the prizes that they could win if they take part and register.
The Macmillan stall based in the entrance of the hospital, kindly donated to Macmillan's Wirral Fundraising team is manned several days throughout the year, enabling the team to promote Macmillan's information and services to the local community. The fundraising team hope to raise £38,000 for the Wirral through the World's Biggest Coffee Morning. Marie Travers, Fundraising Manager is hoping that local people will really get behind the event and celebrate Macmillan Cancer Support and it's services. Marie said:
