The Grand Tour - Cape to Cape 2009

The last five "Grand Tours" have been unimaginably successful in raising over £273,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whilst raising such a magnificent sum, classic car teams have enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow participants throughout the week long drive from one Cape to the other. The Tours have matured since the first relatively straightforward event and whilst not a timed rally some now class the Cape to Cape as the "toughest classic car tour in Europe".
For 2009 we intend to commence from Cape Clear, then traverse the Irish passes and the Wicklow Mountains prior to sailing from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead. The route will then incorporate the spectacular mountain range of Snowdonia, the Brecon Beacons in South Wales and the scenic hills of Exmoor prior to finishing at the beautiful cliff top that is Cape Cornwall.
