Cape to Cape - The Grand Tour 2007
Another amazing year for Dennis Greenslade and his "Tourers" with the event set to raise an astonishing £60,000 plus!
This year the cars went from Cape Wrath in Scotland to Cape Clear in Eire, but the intrepid Cornish teams of course left from the traditional start of Cape Cornwall.
2007 proved to be a momentous year not only because of the record number of entries but also because of the number of new entries. The entrants enjoyed a varied trip(!) with many highlights and surprises organised by Dennis.
They also proved to be very generous at the evening events including the auction when over £3,000 was raised for items from a half day test drive of an Aston Martin to a weeks stay in a Welsh cottage. The week culminated in a gala evening in Roscarberry Bay where everyone made Fundraising Manager Noelle very welcome and entertained until 2am.
Again, thanks to all the donors including Stratstone of Mayfair, Camel Valley Wines and Tim Cook. Watch this space for details of next year's event which could include a trip to Cape Ferrat.
