Fundraising weekend at Tregothnan Estate
Many, many thanks to The Hon Evelyn and Mrs Boscawen for opening their estate in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The crowds enjoy the sound of Pendeen Band and the sight of the classic cars
Truro committee had a fabulous weekend of fundraising at the Tregothnan Estate in Truro raising an amazing £5517!
Despite appalling weather on the Saturday the fundraising went ahead as planned with only one or two hiccups. Hundreds of people sampled the fabulous teas produced by the estate and enjoyed the sounds of Pendeen Band, Truro Male Choir and Truro Boys Choir.
Children and those young at heart enjoyed the treasure trail, whilst sampling the delights of Tregothnan's latest addition, Kea Plum ice cream.
Also on display were some of the Cornish contingent taking part in this year's Cape to Cape classic car trial. FLEET were also in attendance in case of emergency.
Thank you to everyone who took part, especially Jonathon Jones from Tregothan and all the staff from the estate who helped make it such a wonderful weekend. Thank you also to the ladies of the WI who provided wonderful refreshments.
