The money you raise will help us provide more information to people affected by cancer.

Macmillan works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in your area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer today.

Thanks to the generosity of local people who support Macmillan, local people affected by cancer and their families are being helped by over 33 Macmillan nurses, doctors and specialists such as an occupational therapist, a speech and language therapist and information managers helping people in hospitals and in the community throughout Cumbria.

In addition, Information Centres in Carlisle and Whitehaven offer help, support and advice to people worried about any aspect of cancer.

In 2006, 174 people in Cumbria were helped by grants totalling £62,583.

We need your continuing support to help us reach everyone affected by cancer in Cumbria.
