Motorcycling for Macmillan

Over 40s motor bike riders

A group of 10 motorcyclists recently attempted to motorcycle 1450 miles in five days. All aged over 40 and all with connections to RAF Cranwell, the riders' aims were to visit 40 counties in England.

Pictured here soon after their arrival in Kendal where they were greeted by county council chairman Mr Tom Clare and Macmillan fundraisers Sue McDonald (far left) and Barbara Sharpe (far right) are members of the group. Councillor Clare presented event organiser Steve Freemantle with a cheque for £50 from the chairman's charity fund.
