Lifeboat crew support Macmillan
Despite their own charitable status and the struggle to raise funds for their own organisation, St Bees lifeboat crew decided to raise money for Macmillan's work in Cumbria.
Macmillan Community Fundraiser for Cumbria Barbara Sharpe is seen being presented with a cheque for £186 by a crew member of St Bees lifeboat.
£100 was raised by the crew who very generously decided to give donations to Macmillan Cancer Support instead of sending Christmas cards to each other, with a further £86 also donated by Mr Jamie Locke of the Deputy Launching Authority.
There has been a lifeboat station based at St Bees for the last 35 years.
