The money you raise will help us provide more information to people affected by cancer.

Macmillan works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in your area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer today.

Thanks to the generosity of local people who support Macmillan, local people affected by cancer and their families are being helped by over 35 Macmillan nurses, doctors and specialists such as a dietitian and a speech and language therapist helping people in hospitals and in the community throughout East Yorkshire.

We also have a Macmillan consultant in palliative medicine who provides support and leadership to the whole cancer team and is shaping future cancer services in the area.

In addition Macmillan helped fund the Macmillan Wolds Unit at Bridlington Hospital and the Macmillan Unit at the Alfred Bean Hospital in Driffield, where local people can receive care and treatment in attractive and welcoming surroundings.
