The money you raise helps us to provide more health professionals.
Macmillan works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in your area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer today.
Thanks to the generosity of local people who support Macmillan, local people affected by cancer and their families are being helped by over 150 Macmillan nurses, doctors and specialists such as a pharmacist and a minority ethnic liaison and outreach worker helping people in hospitals and in the community throughout Greater Manchester.
Macmillan also funded a Macmillan information manager who is based at the Information and Support Centre at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, the service offers support and advice to people worried about any aspect of cancer.
In 2007 we gave over £530,000 in financial grants to over 3,000 people in the Greater Manchester area who were experiencing financial difficulties due to their diagnosis.
We need your continuing support to help us reach everyone affected by cancer in Greater Manchester.
