The digging of the first sod at Wythenshawe Hospital
Work has begun on a comprehensive Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital which will be a source of practial advice, information and support for patients, relatives and members of the public who are affected by cancer.

More than 3,000 people are diagnosed with cancer at the Trust each year and will be able to access a wide range of information about cancer and cancer treatment as well as financial issues and other sources of support.
The Cancer Information Service has been financed thanks to a £350,000 grant from Macmillan Cancer Support which is also providing funding for staff for the first three years.
