Bond Extravaganza
On 07.07.07, the small village of Durley played host to a spectacular Bond Extravaganza!
Fire throwing jugglers; sky-divers; croupiers and musicians wowed the crowds on Saturday night whilst guests enjoyed the only glimpse of summer that the South has seen in weeks!
The event, which hopes to have brought in £8,000 for Macmillan in Hampshire, was supported by HSS Hire who supplied power and illumination which allowed the festivities to carry on into the night.
Local TV presenter, Freddie Rostand kept the party going whilst a spectacular fireworks display provided by Pains Fireworks, was set in time to Bond and other theme tunes provided by the exceptional POPS Incorporated UK.
Punters not only had the opportunity to take a chance on the Casino tables, but were also given the opportunity to buy a ticket for the tombola which had an outstanding list of prizes, from a mounted 0.26 carat GVS diamond, to a weeks holiday in Spain or Mallorca courtesy of Hoseasons.
Macmillan Hampshire Fundraising Manager, Paul Morgan, says,
"The evening went with a real swing, and its great to see so many local companies coming together to help people affected by cancer in the Hampshire area. All proceeds will go to the Hampshire Appeal with a target of £756,000 – so every little helps!"
