Pupils at Westfields Junior School in Yateley make a comic contribution
Three young pupils at Westfields Junior School in Yateley find a novel way to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Dan, Lucas and Joseph present the cheque to Malcolm.
When Dan Williams, Lucas Green and Joseph Stattery-Ellis wanted to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support they came up with a fun way of doing so. They designed, produced and sold a comic around their school and, in doing so, raised over £130.
The cheque was presented at a Westfields Junior School Gold Assembly which, each term, celebrates the achievements and contributions made by pupils of the school.
The head teacher Mrs Karine George congratulated the boys on their initiative and enthusiasm and the cheque was accepted by Malcolm Gallani from Macmillan Cancer Support.
The contribution will go towards the Hampshire appeal – which is aiming to raise £765,000 to improve Macmillan support across Hampshire, specifically Macmillan nurses in Basingstoke, Portsmouth and Southampton.
