Burnley and Pendle Fundraising Committee

Macmillan Cancer Support toasted the success of the Burnley & Pendle Fundraising Committee at their Thank You & Information Evening for local volunteers at the Fence Gate Inn on Tuesday 21 August.

Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist Rosemary Hind, who lives in Fence and covers the Pendle area, presented the Burnley & Pendle Committee Chair, Mavis Butler MBE, and committee Treasurer Jackie Roberts, with flowers to thank them for their dedication to the charity. Mavis, who has been fundraising in the area for Macmillan for 30 years, and Jackie, will be retiring their committee at the end of 2007.
