Tarleton & Hesketh Bank's 'Summer Salmon Supper'

The Tarleton & Hesketh Bank Committee spent much of July and early August with their fingers crossed hoping that the rain would hold off for their 'Summer Salmon Supper'  which took place on Saturday 18th August.

Thankfully the weather was fine at the beginning of the evening and the committee rallied round serving delightful portions of salmon and lots of other tasty treats to around 80 guests. 

The evening which was held at Newarth Lane in Hesketh Bank included entertainment provided by 'Johnnie' a local singer and comedian as well as a raffle and quiz. 

Unfortunately the heaven's opened as the evening continued but it didn't deter the guests!   Kate Maughan the committee's Chair told us "The evening raised around £1000, they were dancing barefoot on the grass/mud but everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even when some of the gazebos leaked!!!"
