Weatherhead High School silently raise £2,150 for Macmillan Cancer Support and hope others will walk to raise more!
After choosing to take part in Macmillan Cancer Support's Big Hush 2008 event in February and raising £2,150, Cally Lane, teacher at Weatherhead High School in Wallasey and organiser of the fundraising event is overjoyed at the amount of enthusiasm and support displayed by the students, and commends their fundraising efforts.
"The girls here at Weatherhead High School were excited about taking part in the sponsored silence. Macmillan Cancer Support help a great number of people locally, both those suffering from cancer themselves and also friends, family and carers around them who are also affected so it's wonderful to see young people acting in order to help others.
"Stephanie Hooper, a student here at Weatherhead raised over £250 which is fantastic for a young person. Each and every student should be proud of what they have achieved."
Marie Travers, Fundraising Manager and Aimee Scally, Community Fundraiser for Wirral are both extremely grateful to Weatherhead High School.

"Macmillan relies on donations from individuals, groups and companies for 99% of our income to ensure that our Macmillan services can continue to support people with cancer in this area.
"We are very grateful for the contribution from Weatherhead High School; their fundraising efforts will make a great difference towards Macmillan's work in the Wirral area. You can help make a difference too by walking the Wirral Costal Walk on Sunday 18 May."
