Open Gardens in the rain
A heavy downpour was not enough to stop East Sleekburn residents opening their award-winning garden to the public.
Visitors braving the rain
East Sleekburn residents, George and Irene Webster, held an open garden at their Wansbeck in Bloom award-winning garden to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The weather that day was unbelievable but that did not deter George and Irene. They set up their garden and away they went. They had even captured the garden on DVD in preparation for the rain.
They had a fabulous day and raised £610, which NPower generously matched, making a grand total of £1,270. Not bad considering the rain!
