  • World's Biggest Coffee Morning Friday, 26 September 2008
    World's Biggest Coffee Morning is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, with an estimated 2 million people raising their mugs for Macmillan last year. 644 coffee mornings took place throughout Nottinghamshire, and raised a total of £93,739.15. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Local volunteering

Volunteer Talks - We are always looking for volunteers who are able to give their support by giving talks and attending events on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support in Nottinghamshire.

Volunteer Marshals - We are keen to hear from people who are able to offer a few hours and help support us at local events.

Supermarket Collections - We are always looking for new people to help us raise awareness and participate in collections at supermarkets.

The money you raise will help us provide more information to people affected by cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in the Nottinghamshire area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. Nottinghamshire has over 47 Macmillan Health and Social Care Professionals working in a wide variety of roles. They all use their expert knowledge to help people understand more about cancer, manage their symptoms and side effects as well as finding practical solutions regarding living with cancer.

We need to continue to provide the practical and emotional support for those people living with cancer in our community both today, tomorrow and for the future in Nottinghamshire. Thank you for your support.
