Anne-Marie Davies - Update on Sahara Hike
Shropshire's Fundraising Assistant successfully completed the Sahara Hiking challenge and is well on her way to raising a fantastic £3,000!
To say it was an "experience" is putting it mildly! For the first 3 days it was sandstorms all the way - so violent that a tent was actually ripped to shreds the one night!
The walking was over varied terrain from hard lumpy fossil beds to really soft sinking sand and the temperature rose to 50 degrees at times during the day, falling to near freezing at nights.
However it was an amazing opportunity and one that Anne-Marie feels privileged to have been a part of.
