Seavington Hunt
Members of the Seavington Hunt have organised a number of fundraising activities and raised a huge £1,250.
Claire Allen, Fundraising Manager went along to accept the cheque at the Duke of York pub in Shepton Beauchamp, which is where a series of raffles were held by the hunt.
Richard England, who is part of the hunt and lives near Langport said 'One of the people in the hunt passed away from cancer and my brother is receiving care from macmillan, so we thought it was a really worthwhile cause to raise money for. We held raffles at our meets and were delighted to raise so much money! I would like to say thank you to everyone who supported the cause'.
Claire also said a huge thank you on behalf of the charity because without people in the local community doing their own fundraising events, we wouldn't be able to provide the huge range of service on offer in Somerset.
