Every year, more people are diagnosed with cancer, so the need for Macmillan services continues to grow.
Macmillan works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in your area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer today.
Being diagnosed with cancer can bring financial difficulties for people who may have to give up work because of their illness or face increased fuel bills or travel costs. Macmillan can help by providing patient grants to cover expenses like this, or to finance the much needed convalescent breaks for patients and their families. Last year Macmillan gave £154,000 in grants and helped 412 people in Staffordshire.
Macmillan is campaigning for a better deal for people in Staffordshire affected by cancer, now and in the future. We want everyone with cancer to receive the same level of care regardless of who they are and where they live. Together we can challenge inequalities, push for change and make sure that cancer stays a priority for the government.
