Jazz player's dream raises vital funds for Macmillan

Weybridge resident Howard Nichols fulfils a life long ambition and raises £608 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Amateur jazz pianist Howard Nichols decided to fulfil a life long ambition on the 16th July by recording his first jazz album and asked friends to help him celebrate by making donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Joined by professionals Al Merritt on drums and Alan Summers on bass, the trio recorded covers of well known jazz favourites. Howard met all expenses himself so every penny donated went directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Howard said,

"I have always wanted to record an album and I wanted to do something to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support so I thought, why not ask friends to make donations. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has donated to Macmillan. If anyone would like to make a donation please visit my website www.justgiving.com/howardnichols"
