Ladies lunch at Pennyhill Park Hotel raises over 2000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Irene Bothomley, Chairman of Macmillan Cancer Support's Camberley Committee recently organised a Ladies Lunch at Pennyhill Park Hotel, Bagshot raising over £2000.

The event was attended by 100 ladies including the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Patricia Pearce. This was the Mayor's last official function in her Mayoral year and she praised the Camberley Committee for their hard work in raising money at their various events. 

Operations Manager David Connell hosted this event and said:

'Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa endeavoured to support local charities, but this year wanted to make a difference to one in particular we chose Macmillan Cancer Support. This had been a successful event and we are delighted to have been able to raise in excess of £2000 to help support the great work being undertaken.'

The lunch included a delicious three course meal prepared by Executive Chef David Campbell.  

Mary hayes, Macmillan Lead Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist at Frimley Park Hospital gave an interesting speech on her experiences as a Macmillan Nurse. 

A raffle took place with many prizes including a lunch for two at the Hotel's Latymer Restaurant and Complimentary Wardrobe Assessment and Personal Style Analysis donated by Celebrity Fashion Stylist, Wendy Elsmore. 

Table flower arrangements for the event were kindly donated by Blomster Designs Cobham. 

Irene Bothomley said:

'I would like to thank the management and Staff of Pennyhill Park Hotel for their generous hospitality and for making the day such an enjoyable event and I look forward to the many events planned at the Hotel during the Year.'
