Staples 2 Naples Head Back To The Future
‘Staples 2 Naples’, one of the leading European car banger rallies has inspired local fundraisers, Dan Tucker, Sam Palfreyman and Bruno Handley, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team were dressed as characters from the movie trilogy, ‘Back to the future’ - Doc Brown, Marty McFly and Einstein (the dog)! The car that took them the 1500 mile journey, starting at Calais in France and finishing in Naples, Southern Italy, cost the team £100 and was a look-a-like of the time machine in the film!
The team, ‘Meet Back To The Future’ arrived safely back home to Guildford having raised an amazing £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Dan Tucker said, “Macmillan is not only a source of support but a force for change, helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, including my own family. The ‘Staples 2 Naples’ car rally was one of the best yet, with plenty of fun challenges, awe-inspiring scenery, lots of wrong turns and quite a few breakdowns. It was a fun way to raise funds to help Macmillan continue to provide such vital medical, practical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer and their families.”
Our thanks and congratulations at Macmillan go out to the Back To The Future Team for their creative fundraising idea and for the fantastic amount they have raised, which will really help to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
