Thanks to the generosity of our supporters in Surrey, people affected by cancer can benefit from:

  • The 65 Macmillan nurses based in the Surrey area who provide care, advice, and support to cancer patients and their families helping them to come to terms with any emotional and practical problems they may face.
  • A Macmillan network pharmacist helping to make sure cancer patients across the whole county receive the best possible pain relief and treatment.
  • Two Macmillan dietitians based at the Royal Surrey Hospital helping cancer patients with specialist nutritional advice that can help them cope with their treatment, recover their strength and even get out of hospital sooner.
  • Macmillan Grants which provide financial assistance when a cancer patient is too ill to work, helping with unexpected expenses such as a washing machine breaking down, or a high heating bill, which can become a real crisis at a time when they need to concentrate on getting well.
