There's a lot to be said for a country walk.
On Sunday 4 May 2008 a group of people from the Weight Loss Centre in Swindon took part in a sponsored 7.5 mile walk raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Weight Loss Centre team
They joined over 400 walkers at Ecchinswell, near Newbury, for an inspiring walk over some of our most beautiful countryside. Richard Adams, the author of the book, Watership Down, was there to see everyone off. The weather was lovely and they all finished in about 2 hours, very good going indeed!
"We had a lovely day," said Sharon Luxton of the Weight Loss Centre.
"Everyone was in a good mood and really keen to get going. We were pleased to be able to support Macmillan and keep fit at the same time, and absolutely thrilled to raise over £1,000!"
