When Wavin chose Macmillan as charity of the year, it set off a real fundraising frenzy.
Wavin employees turn green
We were delighted when Wavin chose Macmillan Cancer Support as their Charity of the Year 2008. With seven sites in the UK, they are well spread out and well placed to help us spread the word about Macmillan’s work.
They launched their fundraising activities with a Go Green for Macmillan Day on 22 February. They dyed their hair, had a cake sale and raffle and they’ve already raised nearly £2000!
All the Wavin sites are now planning to take part in our Walk Wonders event in May, some are organising their own walks while others are taking part in a walk that has already been organised by Macmillan in Yorkshire.
They are all busily collecting sponsorship to try to raise as much money as they possibly can to add to the Wavin ‘pot’ they intend to present to Graziella in February of next year.
Thank you all Wavin and Hepworth employees for getting behind the fundraising so wholeheartedly and giving it your all. We really appreciate all the effort you and the fundraising committee are putting into helping people living with cancer.
