Nick Parsons and several friends take part in The Valhalla Run

Nick Parsons and several friends are participating in a unique car rally called The Valhalla Run. Their team is called Bodgit and Scarper and consists of Nick, Gareth & Jimmy.

The rally is over 1,700 miles from Copenhagen to Helsinki (the long way round). The Rules: you must buy a car for no more than £100 which must be road worthy, with TAX and MOT. You also have to sell the car before you can come home!

Nick says: 'I will be taking photo's and keeping a diary that all will be added when or if we manage to make it back. I have got cancer and have had many operations including a tumour on the brain removed and part of my stomach removed.

'I have been very well supported by the Macmillan Cancer Support, so we have decided to raise money as sponsorship to support them.'
