Macmillan Dog Walk a great success
Generous dog owners were out in force on Saturday 26 April, taking part in the Macmillan Cancer Support Eastwood Committee’s annual Dog Walk in Rouken Glen Park.
18 dogs and their owners joined Huntly Hound to raise over £900 for Macmillan’s Glasgow Appeal. Participants included a large contingent from Sandyhills Veterinary Clinic, who raised over £600.
The Macmillan Dog Walk is becoming a real fixture in the fundraising calendar, and our thanks go to the Eastwood Committee for their continued support and hard work in organising this and other fundraising events within the area.
With one in three people receiving a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives, and more and more people living with cancer for longer, the efforts of supporters such as the Eastwood Committee are increasingly important in helping Macmillan Cancer Support to reach all the people affected by cancer who need our help.
