The help Macmillan provides is funded not only through large UK events but also through local area fundraising. Whether you take part in a listed event or organise one yourself, you will be helping people living with cancer in the UK.

Macmillan in Wales has more than 200 health and social care professionals helping people affected by cancer and their families. We're looking forward to building on our success and raising more money to pay for additional skilled carers in Wales.

Event and campaign highlights

We are campaigning for better cancer services in Wales. We are currently holding meetings with the Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Health and Social Services, and the health spokespeople for the other main political parties to push for a Cancer Plan for Wales.

We are also working with our partners in the Wales Cancer Alliance to drive forward our political agenda. We want everyone with cancer to receive the same level of care regardless of where they live in Wales.

Together we challenge inequalities, push for change and make sure that cancer remains a priority for the Welsh Assembly Government.
