With Somerfield's help there are lots of other ways that you can help raise money. Go into stores now from May to buy our picnic play mat (£2) which features a game for big 'uns and little 'uns to enjoy! Also look out for marked items in store from the end of June where a donation will be made to Macmillan on the sale of the item.
We are currently updating this site at the moment to include lots of helpful hints for your picnic. Please come back and visit us in May for more information.
Why we're holding a Big Picnic
One in three of us will get cancer. More than a million people are living with cancer in the UK today. Macmillan improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
Currently we can only afford to help one in four people living with cancer. Our ambition is to reach everyone who needs and wants our help. By raising money through your picnic, we'll take a big step towards meeting this ambition.
This is how the money you raise can help:
-
£10 could pay for one person to be helped by our CancerLine
-
£50 could pay for a liquidiser for someone who can't eat solid food
-
£144 could fund a Macmillan nurse for a day
