Enjoy a fun, family walk along the magnificent chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head. Along the way, you will be able to savour stunning views of the East Yorkshire coast and spot a wide variety of birdlife. The octagonal Chalk Tower, a 17th century lighthouse, is also sure to impress and its modern day equivalent – Flamborough Lighthouse – will have the kids enthralled.

How to get there
From the A165, take the B1225 on to Marton Road. Follow this until you reach Lighthouse Road, and turn right. Turn right again onto South Sea Road and follow this road until you reach South Landing car park on your left.

Registration
Open from 10.00am – 11.00am.
The walk will begin at 11.15am. 

Walk duration
The five mile walk will take approximately two and a half hours to complete.

Challenging aspects
The walk is manageable for most abilities, but not suitable for young children. The route involves steep steps and one small slope.

Suitability for pushchairs and/or wheelchairs
Unsuitable due to some steps along the route. However, there are disabled facilities at the start and finish point.

Suitability for dogs
Dogs are welcome on the walk, but must be kept on a lead at all times. 

Car parking
There is a car park at the start/finish point which costs £0.45 per hour.

Public transport
The East Yorkshire 502 bus goes to North Landing.

Toilets
There are toilet facilities available at the start/finish point. 

Refreshments & picnicking
Bottles of water will be provided at the start of the walk. There are picnic benches along the route. Please bring your own picnic. 

There are two cafes en-route and a café at the finishing point.

Children's activities
There will be a quiz for children to take part in on the walk.

Don't forget to bring
Appropriate footwear as the route follows some steep steps. Dress according to weather conditions as the route is exposed.
