Internship scheme
Our new internship scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved with Macmillan by working with our experienced staff on projects and events in 2008. If you're a student, graduate or considering a change in career we've got opportunities for you to build on your existing skills and gain new ones.
Our scheme will interest you if you're looking for a placement in events, fundraising, marketing and PR and have an interest in the charity sector.
Internships available
London, Surrey & Cambridgeshire
London Special Events Intern, Chelsea, London - 1 September – 19 December 2008
The London Special Events Team organise a variety of high profile, fundraising events in London, raising over £1million a year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of event organisation and will be working with the team on the following events: Christmas Market – one of the biggest charity fairs in the country, Celebrity Christmas Stocking Auction, Carols by Candlelight and Guards Chapel Carol Concert.

Leeds and Bradford
Events Intern - World's Biggest Coffee Morning - from July to end September 2008
Our new internship scheme offers an opportunity for hardworking, committed and keen people to join our experienced fundraising teams for Leeds and Bradford in making Macmillan's flagship fundraising event, the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, a huge success.

Hampshire
Events Intern - World's Biggest Coffee Morning - from July through to early October 2008
Our new internship scheme offers an opportunity for hardworking, enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our experienced Hampshire fundraising team of paid staff and volunteers and help grow and develop our involvement in Macmillan's flagship fundraising event, the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

Oxfordshire
We will shortly be recruiting two interns to run projects to increase the profile of Macmillan in the local area.
One placement will raise the profile throughout Oxfordshire. The second will be to focus on the universities of Oxford.
