Macmillan Volunteer Awards
Our volunteers raise millions of pounds, champion Macmillan's work and make an outstanding contribution to cancer support and care. One way in which we can acknowledge and celebrate their success is through the Macmillan Volunteer Awards.
In the last year, we have been proud to recognise over 500 volunteers with special awards which reflect their hard work and d
edication.
If you know someone who you would like to put forward for a Macmillan volunteer award, please check the awards criteria booklet [pdf, 53kb] and contact Kim Levan in the Volunteering department on 020 7840 4961 or email KLevan@macmillan.org.uk for a nomination form.
The next deadline for nominations is 4 July 2008.
What are Macmillan volunteer awards?
The awards recognise those who volunteer their time in a way which contributes to our ambition to be a source of support and/or force for change for people affected by cancer.
Who can nominate someone for an award?
Anyone (except a relative) can nominate a volunteer by completing a nomination form.
How do I nominate someone for an award?
Contact Kim Levan in the volunteering department to request a nomination form. Look at the awards criteria and tailor your information to this. Your nomination will be forwarded to a panel for consideration and then, if approved, to Macmillan's Board of Trustees for a decision.
What happens next?
You will be advised of the decision and, if successful, the volunteer will be contacted to congratulate them and to let them know how the award will be presented. Please be aware that the process can take up to a year, depending on panel meeting dates.
Any further questions?
