Macmillan Cancer Support

We can offer you information, advice and support through a wide range of services:

CancerLine

If you need someone to talk to who understands what you are going through, we're here. Call our CancerLine on 0808 808 2020 between 9am and 9pm, or email cancerline@macmillan.org.uk

Macmillan Benefits Helpline

Offers advice and help to access benefits and other kinds of financial support. Call 0808 801 0304 between 10am and 5pm on Monday,Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and between 12 noon and 5pm on Wednesdays.

Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB)

The CAB can give you independent advice on legal rights, benefits, personal finances and NHS services. To find your local CAB office, look them up in the telephone book or visit www.adviceguide.org.uk

Carers UK

Carers UK provides advice and information. Read about employment and many other issues on www.carersuk.org or phone CarersLine on 0808 808 7777.

Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Equality Commission Northern Ireland

The EHRC has powers to enforce disability laws, and provides advice. Find information on the Commission's website: www.equalityhumanrights.com. Independent Financial Advice

For detailed, personalised advice on your insurance policies and pensions, you can see an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA). They may charge a fee. Find an IFA near you at www.unbiased.co.uk

An IFA should be authorised by the government's Financial Services Authority. Check this on www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk

Jobcentre Plus and The Northern Ireland Social Security Agency

If you're concerned about losing your job for a reason associated with your disability or health condition, Disability Employment Advisers at Jobcentre Plus (England, Wales and Scotland) can give you and your employer advice.
