Do I have to raise a minimum sponsorship if I have my own place?
No, there is no minimum sponsorship requirement if you have your own place in the event. We simply ask you to raise as much as possible to enable Macmillan to help people living with cancer. We'll provide you with a detailed fundraising pack full of ideas. If you are running on a Macmillan guaranteed place the minimum sponsorship pledge will be £250.

What happens if I get injured?
If you get injured whilst training we recommend you contact your GP, physio or specialist sports injury clinic. They will be able to advise you if you are fit enough to run. If you do need to withdraw you will need to let the Great South Run race organisers know as soon as possible. Please also let Macmillan know as soon as possible so that we can advise you about transferring your place.
